extended studs?

has anyone ever installed them? i have a set but i cant seem to get enough space behind the hubs to fit em straight through. just wondering if theres a way i can install without pulling the hub out. otherwise i might just go back to regular length studs. any help would be greatly appreciated.

no no no, don't take out the hub, that's more bs work. there's a small cutout behind the hub, rotate the hub until you can put the stud through the hole and hammer it in tight throught the cutout.

If you don't have the space to use the hammer, use your old rotor to wedge behind the stud and hammer the rotor to push the stud in.

If none of that works, go look for old/unwanted lug nuts (junk yard) and use them to "pull" the studs in place. I mean like push the stud thru the hole, then screw on the lug nuts and tighten those lug nuts until the studs are "pulled" into place.

good luck.

yeah but theres not enough clearance for the extended studs to line up straight with the hub, even with that cutout. and i have a 99 so i got rotor over hub at all 4 corners. i guess ill have to get some normal length studs then.

idk about hammering it in, i understand the rotor is pretty thing, but a slight bend and it could be bad. if u are going to do something, always do it right. or ull regret it.

You know that you have to take out the caliper, pads and rotor before you put in the studs right?

I don't know, I just installed extended studs on my friend's STS S13 like two weeks ago, and the S13's setup is similar to our setup. How long are the extended studs? might be too long???

It might seem like it's not lined up but once the stud is mounted all the way, it will straighten it self.

Also, I said the "OLD ROTOR," which is to say obsolete rotors that you don't use anymore. you might not have old rotors, it's just that my friend uses brake setup like crazy so he has old ones everywhere...
