Exhaust Manifold

my mechanic says mine is cracked on my 2.2 and i need a new one. he quoted me a price of around $280 incluldind gasket seals . i know i can find a new exhaust manifold for cheaper than that. i'll probobly end up getting one off of ebay but if anyone has one in good condition that they want to sell let me know.

get an OBX or megan or something. even DC Sports is a little cheaper than that if you get a good deal. and BTW you dont need a new gasket.

If he's chargin you that much for stock headers, just buy some aftermarket headers and have him install them.

Update

i got the new stock header (thanks SilverCL97). before i throw it on i have one question. the stock header is attached to the downpipe by 3 bolts. two of the bolts have no head - its just a threaded screw that holds the two pieces together with a nut on the end. when i take off the nut, the bolt is still holding it all together because its threaded right through. so my question is, is there any special trick to taking out those bolts with no head? part of the bolt is exposed so its possible for me to grab it with vise grips and take it out, but if there is another way to do it?

get a hardened drill bit, they make them specifically for drilling bolts out. Drill into the head of the bolt about 1/8 of an inch, and then use an EZ out and a hammer. Bang the EZ out into the head of the bolt, going in the direction of the threads on the EZ out, so as to dig it into the bolt head. Then, use vise grips to turn the EZ out, which, if it is properly seated, will turn the bolt out.
