i already read most of the threads about exhausts and istill got some questions...i saw that some people have the magnaflow 14816 exhaust and it does sound awesome, but i was wondering if anyone else has a different exhaust maybe for a cheaper price. And for those who put custom exhaust on, did anyone leave the stock piping on? I dont know if i want to spend the money to have a shop put piping on since I already have it, but is it necessary for an aftermarket exhaust? If i leave it stock, it probably wont sound the others, and yes i heard what the magnaflow sounds like with custom piping.

 

everyone and there brother has one of those 14816 exhausts. its not my choice, do you. but i would go with something a little different.

 

i dont want something real loud, just a nice sound...i heard kleptos and its pretty nice but something a little quieter for me than that...any exhaust i get im going to need a resonator right? and will i definetly need to have custom piping done? i want a dual tiped exhast...

 

then the magnaflow is for you than, me on the other hand am gonna go with a Espelir JGT-500 exhaust with a omni power straight pipe, should sound sick with my intake and header. or it will sound like a civic which would suck.

 

am i going to need custom piping?

 

its up to you, they can put the muffler on the stock piping and replace the resonator with the stock piping too, or you can get new bigger piping (like a quarter inch bigger) which will give you slightly better top end power, the piping is like $100 at the most i think

 

if i do get the magnaflow 14816 and leave custom piping and stock resonator, itll prob sound like shit i assume right? I was just going to get a 22'' resonator and the magnaflow..thats it...idk if i will get custom piping...i dont want it to sound real loud, and i dont know which way will sound louder - stock piping or custom piping either 2.25 or 2.5

 

put it this way, i just got the muff, no piping or anything and it sounds mint, not loud at all... but i dont have that muff though...i got the 18457 i think

the resonator only lowers the loudness of the muffler, correct? so if i leave on the stock piping w/ the stock resonator, how loud do u think it will be?

looking for a 22'' resonator on ebay, but they have none? only found an 18'' ...anyone know where to get one

 

22'' resonator from magnaflow.. bought mine for about $60 i think. Do a search for magnaflow resonators for my post I made a while back..

 

what ever you do make sure you get a resonator or keep your resonator on, because when i took mine off...wow soo loud.

 

That's why i'm getting a magnaflow resonator, I was in my buddy's 3.5 altima on saturday and he has no resonator, and that shit was unbearable.
