Exhaust????

Well I was driving down the HW yesterday and my exhaust started getting real loud, for no reason at all.... I stopped at the store and when pulling out of the shopping center I hear a metal dragging noise. So I stopped at the light got out to look and a foot long piece of pipe and the muffler are resting on the ground. I was like WTF do I do now.
So I went through the light and when I pulled into the gas station the muffler flipped back (this was real loud) and was now behind the car. The foot long piece of pipe broke off of the muffler. The best part was a carload of Mexicans drove by in some POS honked and pointed at me and laughed.

SUCKS……………

So the question is what muffler should I buy? I want one that is no louder than the factory one…

as a general rule, the louder the exhaust, the more power you're going to get out of it, because of back pressure.
if you don't care about performance, buy stock or buy a muffler with a silencer that is removable if you deceide to race it.

brospeed makes a system that's pretty quiet and it looks like stock, but i was told it rusts

I called Acura and they said the muffler will cost $275 and they would have to order it.......

I posted on the Black Market forum to see if anyone wanted to sell their stock muffler.

i have a maxspeed muffler...just got it put on a few days ago, it sounds nice and deep, but when i had my brother drive in a car nex to me, he said he couldnt really hear it when i was at higher rpms...i short...its not that loud....also if you want a stock muffler, you should see if anyone here is getting a new muffler installed, you could always pay them for shipping to send you their old muffler, as the shop usually asks if you want to keep the old one when getting a new one installed.
