Hi, I just wanted to let you all know that I purchased a 98 Acura 2.3 CL a few months ago. It's running smooth and am loving the ride. I want to keep it in good condition and so I was wondering what I should do as far as getting it checked out. I bought it used so i wanted to know if you guys have any helpful suggestions on what things to get checket out, etc. It's nearing 73K so let me know what i should do after purchasing a used car. Thanks!

 

welcome to the forum.

keep regular mantenance to date. also there are some recalls that are out currently.

other than the regular stuff at 90k the car will run smoothly past 200k.

check the maintenance records to make sure the 60,000 mile was done

check the basic tune-up stuff for wear and tear

Might be a good idea to find out if the timing belt was replaced...other than that, welcome home

 

timing belt should be good to 90,000 as per the helms but check it anyway

 

Prolong in the next oil change. That stuff does work good.
