After reading everything about the CL-s cam and reading on the v6 accord page I had a few questions

I was wondering on they # of the 97 engine and the # of the 98/99 engines, cause the 98/99 are faster then the 97 engine,
Is there like a A and B model of the V6??

if so are there part I could change out to get my 97 caught up with the 98/99??
and Once someone does the cam shaft change on thier v6, I would like to knowhow well it works or more info on that?

Also, what is the differents between our engine and the accord v6?

Icant answer, but I believe it is the same engine. The engine bay should be extremely similar too since the parts are the same just made by different manufacturers. A little research on specs for a 3.0 Cl and an Accord V6 in the years between 97-2000 could answer your questions about the engine similarities. My 2.3 Cl uses the exact same SOHC engine that the 4 cyl accords use

 

'97-'99 3.0CLs and the '98-'02 V-6 Accord Engines are the same j30a engines.

One engine is not more powerful than the other. The difference in published Ets is due to the people testing the cars, more than the cars themselves.

Also the '98-'02 Accords are heavier than our 1st gens.

 

The only diffrence between the 98-02 Accord and our cL is the direct ignition system offered in the 01 plus models. Same enginre spec. though

 

what about the difference between 97 CL, and the 98/99 CL, cause I know that the 97 CL is slower then the other CL's,
