Instructions on how to find out the check engine light code.
Underneath your glove compartment there is a blue connector. It is towards the passenger side of the car. After you find it it must be unconnected. Once it is disconnected get a paper clip and connect one end of the paper in one hole and the other end in the other hole. Next put your key in the ignition and turn it to II (not all the way on) while the paper clip is in both holes of the blue connector. The check engine light will turn off for a second and then blink the engine code for the problem. Long flashes are 10 and short flashes are ones. Ex. you see 6 long flashes and 5 short flashes= engine code 65. If you don't see it the first time don't worry it will repeat over and over until the car is turned off. Once you get the code turn the car off. Connect the blue connector to its proper place. Go to your compter and go to niedejb's home page and look up the engine code. Once you find out your code post it up and we might be able to tell you how to fix it. Good luck

just a note... the blue plug does not really have to be plugged back into the holder, as it is just a holder, there is no actual connection in there.

What brake light are you talking about?? the little idiot light that reads "brake light"?? If so, just get someone to push your brake pedal and see what brake light is out.

If you are referring to the abs light yes it will work in the same way. If you are referring to the red brake light that turns on with the e-brake and it is staying on even when the e-brake is down, then theres a 95% chance you are low on brake fluid and you just have to add more. Even if the brake fluid looks ok add some more cause the light is very sensitive and the slighest amount turns it on.
