I've had this problem for quite some time now.. roughly 7-9 months.. it only happens when the AC is on, but my engine bay will shake or "hiccup" for 2-3 seconds occasionally when I am idle or at a stop light.. It doesn't do it when I am driving though. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

 

when my compressor kicks in at an idle, my rpms drop enough to make my car vibrate a little bit. Is that what youre talking about?

 

just the engine bay? or the whole car? my car shudders at idle as if it were about to stall but it always goes back up to 600rpm.

 

It's not the whole car but a huge vibration that lasts about 2-3 seconds and only when the AC is on.. do you think something is loose? or something wrong with the AC?

 

its when your compressor kicks on, 2-3 seconds later your engine compensates for this extra load and goes back to normal. As for the fix?? got me.

 

it does it though even after it turns on when i'm sitting at red lights and other stops.. not ALL the time but very often

 

your IAC Valve people.. its your FREAKING IAC VALVE.

damnit..

how many times, mods can you please sticky this? any stalling sputtering, rattling at idle with the a/c on or off is most likely the IAC, the CL's are notorious for a crappy IAC valve.
