Well, since I'm gonna stick around since you guys are so damn nice, I figured I'd start a thread for the updates on my DA. Only had it for 2 days, so don't expect much just yet, but it'll get there.

Ditched the clear and red 90-91 lights for the amber corners, because amber is mad jdm. Peeled off that big ass integra sticker that came only on the 1990s, replaced the LS up in the right hand corner with a 91-93 Integra badge, and changed out Acura for Honda.

After pic sucks, it was right after i got that integra sticker off in my garage, and my tripod was inside. That smudge isnt there anymore. So yeah. First tiny little mod on my new baby. She will be receiving a fresh paint job soon, so swapping the emblems was kinda pointless, but w/e. I like it for now. I think I'm gonna start sanding the car down soon, because there is MAJOR oxidation all over it. Any I wont be doing any major mods until I sell my damn teins to somebody.

Well, she's a nice looking little lady. I'm not feeling the Honda emblem or the amber tail lights though. I like the clear/red. Made the early 90s Tegs look different.

well im sorry. i agree about the motor. but to do it right, you gotta get every little detail now IMO. but thats me. im just into and have been into for years now the whole JDM scene. when i was younger and saw everybody in this country putting huge aluminum wings, altezzas, and ridiculous body kits on there cars, i was into how the hondas, toyotas, nissans, and etc looked in japan. now its kinda funny how there riceing out their drifter cars, and there are so many clean looking hondas, etc in this country now.

 

you plan on boosting it?if so ls turbo(no tec needed unless your sick with it)if not throw a head on there an frankenstein it. i had an ls-tec teggy and it MOVED with minimal mods.

what would be faster?never got a chance to race a boosted ls in mine.

 

well, i'm sure as you know it all depends on the kit and tuning. i honestly think to break 13s is damn near impossible for an NA DA. but we'll see.

either way the motor will be swap. not gonna ls/vtec my 190,000mile engine

 

theres ALOT your gonna be missing from "every little detail" right hand drive, no support beams in the doors, turn signal lever on the right side instead of the left. odometer in kph instead of mph, just to name a few. im in europe now (u.k) and go to yakoda ab japan alot.. and i dont see many hooked up "jdm" cars. the ones i do see are ghey, and are very slow. yea a motor swap will help but all that work for a 14 sec in the quarter.....yea...you get my point. not to bash what your doin cause its an improvment on what you already had, and some things from a jap whip is aiit, but you aint foolin anyone but your friends with jdm stuff all over your whip. but if thats what your into. pimp on.

 

That car can be clean as shit, Just please dont rice it out! lol. What are your plans w/ it? Is it 5 speed? You should drop a b18c1 in it and call it a day! But that takes a couple of pennys.

Good pickup though always been a fan of the DA.

nah, b18 isnt even the way to go. its more money than it's worth. i've been into these cars for years, i know exactly what i'm doing. dont you worry

 

^^yea a B20 block with some sort of B-series VTEC head is the way to go. ever thought of a B16 head, i heard they flow better than B18C heads. alot of guys use either just the intake cam or just the exhaust cam in there B18C heads too.

 

hey! i just remembered.. I got a B18B ported and polished head with some JG301 cams sittin in my basement... i need to sell it.. i was gonna drop it in my INtegra when i had it before some lady decided to run a redlight and totaled it!

anyway if ur interested let me kno!

oh and i still have my Mugen Bodykit (only the rear and the sides tho) if u want those let me kno as well

So a Honda emblem on the back of ur USDM Integra is rice, it can be nice if the
rest of ur car reflects that.

But untill ur car is 51% JDM, id keep the acura emblem on there.

Oh and for motors, i was using the b18c1 /c5 as an example, ur right there are better motors for the money. I hope to allah that u turn that car into a rocket. Good luck!
