I honestly wouldn't mess with anything that cheap, as gold (even expensive chrome plating found on jline rims) has the tendency to fade QUICKLY, to a faint piss yellow after awhile.

I'd say save up and do it the right way, with a good warranty. I'm really not sure how gold trim would look around the windows, but hey, be a pioneer! As you can tell (from the previous poster) I'm a sucker for gold on black...I think it has potential. Hell, if I come into extra money, I'm thinking about painting the spokes of my rims black and getting chrome gold plate on the lips and the rivets.

Awesome advice, thanks. From the gecko I have been wanting to do it the right way, I don't know why I strayed from that. The reason why I am going through so much to keep the gold cuz my car is known in my area because of the gold. there are a bunch of other CLs but none have the gold. I've gotta keep my rep up :P
