Electrical Issue

I left the lights on my car in the mall, the battery was dead when i got back, i jumped it with a battery pack, it started right up, but ever since then, the car will just die while driving, everything will shut off electrical/engine. as soon as i turn the key off and back on the car starts up right away and will drive for a while

i had the battery and alternator both tested, both are fairly new and are fine. all the battery connectors are clean and tight,, any ideas?

Battery isn't holding a charge, or sounds like alternator is on it's way out, cuz once the car is started the alternator powers the car. I would try replacing the battery first, it's a cheap fix, you can get an everstart from walmart for $40 and it's worth it to test and even have an extra battery, otherwise, it's the alt. But usually once the batt is drained like that, it has trouble maintaining a charge. That's fruit for thought, but I'm leaning toward the alt because the car dies while driving and if all electronics shut off, that def sounds like the alt

that might be it, its wierd that this problem started immediately after jumping my battery, is this switch covered under the recall for the 97 cl 3.0?
