Dynoed results for 11-29-03 (before race tomorrow)

well once again i have big fuel problems.. between 4000rpms and 4700rpms the air/fuel GOES WAY LEAN 18.5 SPRAYING

other than the rpm rang above, the air/fuel wasn't too bad about 13.1

it dynoed 250hp and 277lbs of torque......(to the wheels with the 125 shot... bottle pressure was 1000

overall i happy with the number but not the air/fuel...

hopefully she won't blow tomorrow

how much does that equal to in standard measurements (like advertised as opposed to actual wheel power)? thats some wicked power, there.

Something doesn't seem right about the HP. You should have around 195-200hp NA - then at least 100whp if the N2O shot is crank HP. So that should be around 300whp, no? I'm confused.

Theoretically, yes he should have around 200 to the wheels before spraying, but you have to factor in the roughly 20% of power loss contributed to the automatic tranny, so the claimed 20-30 hp you were to get from the Headers are actually closer to 16-24 hp. Then you have other factors as altitude, outside air temperature, condition of vehicles motor (he did say he was running way too lean) and other things that could reduce the estimated horsepower even more. Then, the 125 shot of gas is not truly an exact 125 hp gain. There is no true way to accurately measure the output of the N2) for every engine, some will get more gas, others less, it's just an average amount of N20 scientifically estimated to be sprayed into your engine for a guestimated total amunt of horsepower per application.

Does this make any sense?

It does make sense. However, I did mean 195-200hp to the wheels after the auto trans loss. Comptech has a dyno on their site of a 3.0 w/ similar mods that pulled 196hp to the wheels. What I meant from the at least 100 to the wheels from the shot was just my estimate of 125 minus 20%. Dynos are SAE corrected now for all tha other stuff aren't they?

I do understand what your saying, but I still think he should have 50 or so more whp. Tq looks nice tho. I wish I that kinda # all the time.
