Hi guys, I am new here obviously so bear with me,
I have scoured the manual for my 99' 2.3CL (auto) and I can't find the information I am looking for. Either I am stupid and can't read or the information really isn't there but...

There are these three buttons on the ceiling where the two reading lights are. Do you know what I am talking about? They are the lights that are in the front of the cabin, but anyways there are three rubber buttons right behind them and one little LED light that flashes whenever you push the three buttons. What do these three buttons do? When I first got the car I thought it as for the sun roof, but then I spotted the sun roof button on the dash.

am I stupid?

 

they are for the garage door. you can program them to open one of your garage doors, but ive never done it.... kinda cool I guess.

 

ah thanks. I wonder who has three garage doors?

 

you don't need 3 doors, they can be: 1-for garage door 2-for security gate 3-for lighted access or home alarm arm/disarm

 

search homelink for programming instructions. i was gonna try and get mine working tomorrow

BTW - I have a 2 car garage and I don't use this button because
my garage is occupied with my dad's hardware.

 

press the garage door opener button and hold the homelink button down till the light flashes. that should work. not 100% sure though, i don't have it in my car

 

yup thats what worked for me today.

first hold down the two end buttons at the same time until the light starts blinking fast. that clears previous codes
