Question Dual Piston swap trouble

I need some help finding some 23t brackets. I know I'm selling the car but I was in the middle of doing the dual piston conversion. I have cross drilled rotors already oem size and the calipers(95legend) all I'm missing is the brackets. My mechanic is feeding some bs about how the rotors wont fit in the calipers and then he's worried that if i do get the bracket I wont be able to get the wheels on. WTF he really erks me sometimes. I already posted a WTB in the black market but I would also like some direction to get them faster possibly and also if im doing anything wrong?

I'm assuming you're a 2.2/2.3?

2.2/2.3 needs the caliper brackets from 3.0CL, Legend, or 94-96 vtec prelude.

I have someone in the office right now, but I'll find them for you tonight when I get home. Just give me a few hours.

Is it just a brake hose bracket?

I thought the 23t was the bracket to connect the caliper unless its the same thing?

I believe it's the whole bracket that holds the caliper, and you should be able to find them from a prelude or 3.0CL like cocoa said, try a car parts store or junkyard.

yea I looked around for just the bracket for about 2hrs now and couldn't get anyone to sell it without the whole caliper. my biggest deal breaker is the frikin core charge man.

I guess I could just get the calipers loaded and sell it as a caliper set with no mounting bracket...good idea?

Just found some 92-96 prelude calipers. As long as I have the bracket I should be able to just mount it up and it will align with everything else, yes? no misc bolts or holes to drill?

i'd check with car-part.com first, it'll only list just the calipers so start calling them and ask if the y have the brackets

I'm not sure about the prelude calipers, I know they have to be the VTEC ones, but I'd check before I bought them. If they have the right bracket they do bolt right up.

Did the vtec lude come with dual pistons? Is that the reason for the specific bracket? And I thought that all ludes came vtec?

ok, to clear things up
a) preludes never had twin calipers
b)the specific braket you need, which holds sthe bigger caliper for the bigger rotor, if found on the 92-96 vtec models only, or 3.0 CL
c) all ludes had the h22 in their last generation, 97-2001. 4th gens had a specific trim level VTEC in USA, SR-V in Canada

So then its a go for the calipers? Since they're 92 and u say it can only be found on that starting model.

but you want dual piston ones right? preludes never had dual piston calipers.
if i read the thread correctly, you are trying to a dual piston upgrade right?
so try and follow me

you need
1) Dual piston calipers, found on Legends, type II
2) Caliper Brackets from 92-96 VTEC prelude,or 3.0 CL to accomodate the larger caliper
3)Rotors from 92-96 VTEC prelude, with have the same bolt pattern as the 2.x CL

i've done the dual piston upgrade and i used the brackets off of a legend. Just went to the scrapyard and bought both front calipers w/ the brackets for 10 bucks. I took off the brackets, went back to the parts store and got 80 bucks for each caliper for the cores. Not bad for 10 bucks

search car-parts.com for legend or 3.0CL calipers, then call which ever scrapyard is in your area and see if they come with the bracket

Just saw nothing on that diagram is what you need. They just stopped right before the calipers/rotors/pads.

Thanks Silver, I was owned by the 5 minute rule. I'm currently looking at brackets for him, but none are for the models asked. If they're located in car-parts.com, then I'll just stop the search now...

That's what I was saying.

I have the legend calipers, I haven't gotten a bleeder kit yet to put them on though. Several people have the legend calipers, one or 2 did the NSX calipers, I wanted to but got a sweet deal on legend calipers so I jumped on it.

So how about T28 brackets guys? Have some 11.8 rotors waiting or me to put on and the caipers won't fit because they are 3mm wider.
