It's gonna get sucked into the motor, no?

I've heard of people putting dry ice on their intercoolers, but not in the intake.

it makes sense, but ridinlow is right, wouldnt want it goin in the throttle body

if you have a short ram, and put it right by the filter, that might work...

Anyone know the scientific name for dry ice, I mean what it is actually made of? Mabey throwing a block of it on your manifold before a race might be a benifit to you but I dont know.

dry ice in the icebox would be a bad idea, i mean, cars need three basic things to run; fuel, spark and oxygen . dry ice ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide, something you dont want flowing into the cylindrs. if you were to put dry ice in the intake the engine would run like crap, if at all.

However say you're doing some runs or something, you could stuff a bag of dry ice on top of your engine block to try and lower the temperature? I suppose that could work.

COLD air is better. what do u think the box is for in the comptech ICEBOX. u ever hear ppl icind down their intakes before a run? well comptech makes it easy. u drop in ice. whatever melts drips out the extension where cold air is drawn into the filter in the box.

I unplug my air conditioner hose and route it directly to my intake, then I set it on 60 degrees.
