it is bolted to the seat, after you remove the 4 bolts that hold the seat down, just lift the seat up a little bit and you will see the connector that gives the seat power, just unplug it and pull the seat out, oh and for the passenger side seat, make sure you do not pull the handle to move the rails once the seat is out of the car, because it only moves one rail, and the other rail only moves with it when the seat is bolted in your car, or if you do have to move the rails when the seat is out, make sure that both rails match up perfectly when you go to put it back in

There are no side airbags on our car, the power seat has clips and wiring, you'll have to undo the ones from the switches as well

Meh airbags are nothing scary. Just disconnect the battery before you unplug any yellow harnesses. Then of course make sure they are reconnected before you hook the battery back up. I gutted an entire 05 civic Si interior sunday for a full system, just made sure I disconnected the battery before i pulled those yellow plugs.

not a problem.
just disconnect the battery for xtra safety. when u plug it back in and turn the car on, the SRS light will be on.
and u'll have to reset it.

Airbags are not that easy to tip off.
