Today when I pulled up to my house after work, I tried to open the door and it just wouldn't. I don't know how to explain it any better than that. I heard nothing during the drive that would have indicated something breaking or coming loose. So, basically I've been climbing in and out the passenger side door. Its completely gay and ghetto! I'm so pissed off. I refuse to take it to Acura cause it's going to cost more than I have. Any ideas or suggestions? Has anyone else had this problem? I did unscrew the little black frame that goes around the handle and lock switches in hopes of finding a something fixable there. But nothing. Also, I think the door is unlocking because whenever I use the key in the door the manual lock switch inside pops out and the alarm disengages. But I will pull on the door handle and it's like it's locked. It's killing me! Please help me stop looking like a retarded idiot climbing in and out the passanger side! If you care about our reputations you will please help me!!!

that happened to me but it was becuase the lthe plastic thing that pulls the metal pole to open the latch broke.. might of happened to you too.. did you try opening the door from the outside?? if it opens then that is exactly what happened to me.. if not then.. the handle part must of gotten loose.. i heard that happened a couple times..

 

can you get it open fromt he outside, if so take the door skin off, and check out the mechanism

 

i think you could just tighten a couple screws and it should work back to normal if its the second case but opeing your door is gonna be a BITCH

 

It doesn't open from inside or out. Thats why I have to get in and out through the passengers side and I can't get the door open to look at the mechanisms! I might have to take it to Acura...just hope they know a way to get the door open without handles!
