does our car have a chip to increase the top speed?
How does your car only do 118 at 4200?.. i have a 2.2 Auto and i had mine doin close to 135 already.. not sure what rpm but i did it .. took a long long long stretch of road too.. but yea i got it up there
When I was stock, I hit 125...I didnt see if I could push it faster once I got there cus not only was there a turn on I-10 coming up, I had 2 ppl in my car and knew my CL probably wouldn't go much more.
I dunno what I do now with some minor mods and just me in the car, but I know u should be defenitly going faster than that.

Ive burried 140 on the speed'o quite a few times and the thing was still going, my ECU has been tapped into and messed with many times but I dont have any kind of chip on it or reprogramming done unless the VAFC did something but I dont think it did. Your top speed seems to low to me.

my friends 00 SI topped out at 138 with cai and catback and he is makin more hp than all of us and weighs a lot less
maybe if its about 0 degrees out i can get up there but even with
i/h/e/p & 2" drop 120 + is hard to get to. if u cant get ur car up to 135 within seconds then it dont count!
not to mention are speedo is prob way off at those speeds n e ways

I convinced my friend kyle who builds up american v8s to work on my car. He REALLY ported both out good, i saw all the metal shavings while he was doing it, then he polished them nice. He did that and made me a VERY THROATY intake with big piping (actually I guess the porting made it sound louder too) for hmm... lemme remember... I think it was $180 total
Very nice performance gains after all of that, never dynoed it or took it to the track yet... i think i will go time it next time kyle goes, maybe next week or so

With old, bald 235 tires he managed to run 12s last time he went to the track with it (major traction problems), but still managed to get an AMAZINGLY HIGH trap speed (still complete with A/C, stereo and all that, but a completely redone engine bay) hehe

I pinned my 3.0 when it was stock with 4 people in it. It took a awhile little while to get to 135 from 120. That was at least 3 years ago. I haven't tried anything since I got caught doing 120 by NY State Trooper....
