I'm in the military living in Hawaii and I live in the dorms. Ever since I bought my CL it seems i've set a trend. There's been 3 people that have bought the same car and 1 more I just found out about today (That not including the people I don't know that just see me drive by). After you bought your car did your friends want one too? Personally it doesn't make me mad because I have the only Black on black 5 spd on the island but when people copy you and you don't that person at all. Arrrrgggggg!!! Why can't people come up with new ideas? Sorry I had to vent.

Do you mean about getting the same car or doing the same things to their cars after you do them first?

This forumn is all about sharing ideas. You see something on someone's car that you haven't seen before and like it. I was one of the first to have the TL's lettering on the back of my car and I see it all the time now. I had a bunch of people ask me how/ where I did it. I had no problem with telling them.

In a way I agree with you, because you come up with something that you feel is uniquely yours. However, seeing the things that people do to their cars on this board is what makes me glad to have a CL.

I don't mind sharing ideas around the forum since we live all over the country but when 4-5 people that have the same car you do all parked right next to each other get really old.

There's at least a dozen 1st Gen CLs or so within 1/2 mile of my house every day (I live near an Acura dealer)! :P


I see at least 5-6 per day on my 52-mile round trip to work and back (not at the Dealership).

There's always been a tons of CLs around here, but now they're more than ever.

However, I don't see any like mine!

i have been seeing more and more cl's around my area i just saw one the other day near my house in a apt complex visiting a friend and he had looks like 18's or 17's and a drop, well i saw it more than once there so i left a note telling them to check out acl.com and gave them my name just in case they have questions. i always get coments about my car and they always ask me about my work. remember advertise for acl.com we are almost at 10,000 MEMBERS

i see at least 5 cl's a day not all are supped up or look clean a lot of old people around here have them but i have seen 2 girls around here with them and i have managed to get them to check out the site once or twice and i got numbers from them to help them if they ever had troubles with their car

Acurality any like mine? I haven't seen any black on black 5spd 1st gen CL let alone any that has anything done to them. Call me up sometime if you wanna cruz. You also have to introduce me to some of your lady friends also.

well, i seen this black on black cl it had a wingswest front lip, black tape on the bumper lenses (looks phat), lowered, it either was a 97 with a 99 grill or a 99 with a 97 gril (i cant remember, intake, and i think headers, it was a four cylinder... anyway let me know if you need any parts? im gonna start working for acura again maybe next week i start, let me know if you need anything like headlights, mdx steering wheel, stuff like that, member i get like 70% off hehehe, and about the ladys, im 17,i cruise with senior and junior chicks, ur too old for them lol

p.s. u know the car cover you got, well my friend at acura sold his CL for a TL-S and he wants to sell me his car cover for 60$! shit if it was earlier i wouldve told you, oh and if you want a wingswest lip i have 2 friends selling lips both of them 100$ used

Yeah, someone from this board actually copied me, with the clear bumper lenses. I honestly do have to say that I was the first one. Yeah right, I don't consider things like that copying, you can't stop someone from doing something to hteir car. You never know, maybew they think that they are the first one to do something like that. Freedom of expression.

hey acurality, what colors are the lips? if its that primrose mist color i may be interseted. i gotta stop by your work too one of these days cuz i ordered a new acura logo but they were out, so they going call me when its in. maybe u can check out my car or something
