I raced my friend in his 03 civic sedan (about 127 hp) thinking that I would burn him as I have about 23 more hp and torque.

Alas, the first time we raced I had two people in the car, he had one, and we were dead even. He even began to pull on me at around 70 or so.

After that we both got rid of our passengers. I beat him three times, but barely. I only jumped on him because I was revving with my foot on the break (the term for that escapes me at the moment) although that's terribly bad for my car.

wtf is with that? Why would I not own him everytime?

I beleive thats called a power burnout. I do it sometimes when i put on a smokeshow for my friends, but i dont think it is good for the ole brakes.

 

Power breaking? It really isnt good for much of your drivetrain.

 

Anything you do launch related to racing isnt good for any car...

Sometimes shit happens. One of my friends had a Toyota Corolla (I think it was a 95). This thing was bone stock, but apparently his uncle did something to the engine (according to him). You couldn't see any difference looks wise but that little car would hang with a 3.0. I couldn't believe it either.

So do I!! I was driving along yesterday and saw some riced out civic Si. It must have been a 99 or 2000 because it wasn't a hatchback. I thought I would race him from a rolling start, so I did the thig where you rev up and go past them then let off the gas and fall back to let him know I wanted to race. He gunned it, and I waited a second, then I gunned it and I went flying past him like he was stopped. Poor bastard had a girl in his car too. I bet he felt great.

lol the auto is killer I took 01+ edition with 3 extra passengers... I believe there was 1 and it was a girl in the civic... took it to around 127... would let the guy go buy and then floor it and would take him out top end .... slow back down so he caught back up at 110 and then floor it again ... got back from sandiego in 75 minutes haha... but took quite a bit of gas.

beat 98-2000 model civics too.... me with one passenger....

04 accord coupe has to much high end on me... put up a good fight roll at 85-90 then he punched it me too... stuck with it for a bit then it took off... raced a camry too one of the new ones... took me top end too started pulling away at 110.

thats about it.... all I need is a turbo and a house and im set

dude i don't believe u bought a 2.2 auto that is basically u drivin the speed of a civic but u got leather... if ur 97 even has the leather...
