I dont even bother washing my car until it is somewhat warm out. I hate to run my car in the salt like that, but it is better then being locked out all the time. I found the locks have frozen on all the cars I have had, especially after freezing rain or a wash. When i know it is going to be bad, i dont lock the car.

Maybe I can get some pics of my 4x4 salt lick up soon.

 

^ i dunno, the car i had before never had the locks freeze like the cl. my locks froze once when i left the car outside for a couple days, didn't even wash it, like i said the passenger side is fine, but the driver's side won't move at all untill it warms up. i have no idea what is going on, anyone have any insight into what could be happening?

It was immaculate. Just washed and waxed, I'm totaly big on clean cars. a clean car is what makes a car look nice imo. I'd rather drive a clean stock CL than a dirty CL with a WW lip anyday. I'm starting to not care anymore though. The construction is still off and on, the car gets watered with hard water from the sprinkelers on tuesdays, I'm sick of having to wash the car weekly, and of course, my parents want the garages. I even offered money for a space.. IT'S A FREAKING 3 CAR GARAGE!!! by next month I'm going to have to go through the whole intense hardcore polishing and buffing again and pray that the clear coat can take the abuse..

Sorry, had to rant. I just washed the car and their's some faint white calcium water spots starting to apear even when clean again..

If I had to choose between calcium or salt all over the car, I would defiantly choose salt. This calcium doesn't wash off at all. But you are right. I mean, once the construction finishes and I figure out something to do with the sprinklers facing my car, I think it will be good.

it took 2 170 mile drives between pottstown and state college this weekend. and i washed the car before i left on saturday afternoon, and it sat till i got back in it to drive back home. cant even see out the damn windshield.

my X looked like it had a green base coat and had white misted all over it. had to take it through a quickie wash cuz it was so bad even tho i knew it would get dirty on the way home, just not as dirty. shoulda taken a pic. heres one that isnt half as bad.
