One year! :P

Seriously (since no one is responding): The only differences I've seen are the wheels are different and the '98s may not have the garage door opener (?).

Also, I believe that all '99s came with leather. Cloth was not available for '99, but was standard on the '98 (you had to get the Premium model to get leather on the '98).

Here's the wheel difference, not sure about the interior.
1998-1999 2.3

1998 3.0

1999 3.0

the only real differences between the 98 and 99 CL are:

-new wheel style for the 3.0, 2.3 remained unchanged
-premium package became standard on the vehicle
-Primrose mist Metallic was dropped and replaced with Titanium Metallic
-Inza Red Pearl was dropped and replaced with Milano Red
-Cargo net became a standard in the trunk

...i think thats it!

My '98 2.3 has leather but it does not have the premium package. I'm not sure if leather was an option for the '98 since I didn't buy the car new.

As far as the leather is concerned, I just may be buying a '98 3.0 CL with cloth interior (yuck) but I can always have leather seating installed.

So this begs the question, what was the premium package? The car I'm looking at has the Bose CD player (no cassette), cruise, theft deterrent, auto-A/C, power dirver's seat, 4 wheel ABS, moon roof, alloys, wheel mounted controls for radio & cruise, home-link system (integrated garage door opener), heated mirrors, NO heated seats and No Leather.

Does this mean the premium package only included leather, heated seats?

As far as I know the premium package is the bose cd player with bose speakers, external amp, heated seats and I think thats it. Not really sure since my CL does not have it.

I couldn't find info on the '98s, but here's info on the '97s: Acura CL options.
