Did Timing Belt & Water Pump But......
But i hear lots of pinging and rattling noises from that area when i drive and accelerate...i have 122K and that shouldn't affect anything to be making that noise right?...so i told the mechanic and they REDID it from scratch...but noise is still there...he told me that i have to put Super in for about a week and then it would go away because the car is getting adjusted to the new belt after soo long...is that true or bullshit!!!
And no my car is about the stall out at idle, he told me its the spark plug wires...shit i changed those and it still does all that crazy nonsense...maybe spark plugs too now?
Thanks Eddie

damn that sucks, I did mine myself and it was running smooth without any problems once i finished.
I'm no expert as to what could be wrong, but perhaps one of the pullies wasn't right at TDC (top dead center) when the new belt was put on. if you wanna try to figure out if thats it, then rotate your crankshaft pulley to top dead center, then take off the 2 upper timing belt covers and make sure both cam pullies are also right at top dead center, thats the only thing i can think of. Also, you should def. replace your spark plugs, i think they're supposed to be done at 100K as well as the other stuff and i did mine at 110K, they looked like shit and it was a lot better after i replaced them.

maybee off by one tooth. on eather the exhaust or intake cam.. or.. could be that no one reset the tensioner, or someone broke the crank position sensor.. do you have vtec? it is easy as hell to be off by one tooth.. it may look right and lign up but you could still be off by one tooth.. so many posibilities.. have you checked your timing eather by bringing it to tdc using a screwdriver down #1 sparkplug hole or with the timing light. to make sure youre where its supposed to be? i dont know what to tell you. start over again till the noise goes away.. if you can hear it outside your car, then youve got a serious timing issue. and it may bee too late (i.e. bent valves) sorry pimpin..

if you had the shop do it hold them responsible, tell them to fix it or your takin them to court. that whole premium gas for a new belt thing is pure :bullshit: your timing is off. plain and simple. go there and whoop thier head boy.

I think wilp has it. A broken CAS could cause some ignition issues. Or one tooth... Man, you better get 'em to fix that or buy you another motor. Botched TB is bad news for Honda/Acura motors.

OK, all you guys are scaring the hell out of me... I just did my timing belt and water pump last week and I have a squeeling noise too. I went back to my mechanic and he said not to worry and that the noise will go away in a little while...

yours could be just the belt not being all the way on the teeth.. well 99% of the belt is on the pulleys and the other 1% is hitting the timing cover. nothing to worry about just annoying. usually happens if you install the washer with the dimple in it (kind of a guide washer.) backwards on the crank pulley allowing the belt to move to that side alittle more than is should. if you can live with the noise dont worry bout it.. me personally i would check but im just anal.
