Devestating News...

Well fellas, I have finally fallen into some deep shit. I was on my way to work Aug. 19 when I was pulled over for doing 75 in 45, (didn't see the cop.) I thought "No biggie, my first ticket in 5 years."
Well, he radioed into dispatch and it came back that I had a warrant in California and that California wants to Extradite me for these charges.
I have lived in Knoxville, TN for 4 1/2 years now, and they were about to drag my ass crosscountry (2400miles) for dis shit. I was fookin DEVESTATED!!!!!!! They impounded the ACK and took me to jail.

I am currently out on 40,000 bond after 12 days of being incarcerated and I now am facing 16 Felony charges and 3 Misdemeanors, along with being a Fugitive of Justice.
With my prior history before these charges, I am facing anywhere from 1 yr to 16 yrs.

The worst part of it all is I have 3 kids, house, great job, in the middle of pursuing a bachelor degree, and I am a completely different person than I was then. This old ass shit is going to destroy me!!!

Anyways, I am by no means rich, but have gathered up sufficient funds ($50,000) to retain a TOP DOG attorney.

That is where you guys can help. Does anyone here know of ANY ELITE Attorneys in the Riverside, San Diego Counties??
I really need some help here. I have found some, but I want the BEST!!!!!!

Anyways...I may have to park the ACK for a few years...It will prolly be a Classic by the time I parole. Anyways, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Well, it was essentially a car accident. There were 7 people injured. I was found to have Methamphetamines in my blood, (from usage 2 days earlier) and a BAC of .09. That made my 3rd DUI.
They are charging my with 2 Felony counts for each injury:
13 counts of: DUI/Serious Bodily Injury (Time unknown)
2 counts of: Felony Child Endangerment (Carries 2 years per charge.)
1 Felony Count of: Fugitive of Justice (Should be dropped when I appear in court.)
1 count of: Under Influence of Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor) 2 priors
1 count of: Possesion of Paraphanalia (Misdemeanor)
1 count of: Driving on Suspended CA DL (Misdemeanor) 1 prior
1 count of: Prison Prior within 5 years (Not sure if Felony..but carries 1 year ALONE!!!)
That is what I can remember.

My past record is the thing that is really fuckin me up!
2 prior DUIs, On probation at that time, Have already been to Prison @ 19 years old for violating Felony probation...violation=DUI.

I know it sounds like alot...but I am telling you that the accident occured because I was arguing and fighting with the misses and it was a rainy ass day in which I lost control of my vehicle.

Things that might help me:
*I was taken into custody and released 3 days later in 2001, because the DA did not have case prepared yet. I took that oppurtunity to get the fuck out of there and start fresh.
*This case is now almost 5 years old.
*I have not used any narcotics or been arrested in the past 5 years, Have maintained a 4.0 in my collegiate career, Have had a Systems Admin job for a Major Auto Manufacturer for past 4 years.
*I have letters of recomendations from 30-40 people who have witnessed my complete transformation, including my IT Manager, HR Manager, 3 Supervisors here, and many others.
*I am the provider for a family of 5, as well as a home owner.

I am not afraid of doing time....however I don't look forward to it either.
I am just afraid of 2 things:
losing the life I have built in the past 5 years.
losing my house and not being here to support my family and watch my children grow up....

Anyways, I know that is alot of personal info, but I know that there are all walks of life in this forum who may have experiences that can help me.

Well they planned to Extradite, which would make me look REALLY Shitty when I got there, and my bond would go through the roof, because I am a "So Called" Fugitive. (It would alos look really bad that My ass had to be dragged cross-country to appear in court.)

After speaking with lawyers, I found that it was a longshot, but CA Bondsmen could bail me out from CA charges, and I could appear in court on my own.
This way I have bought myself a month to prepare an attorney, possibility of not coming back, and getting my family ready for that as well.

I appear Sep 30 in Riverside County.

I hope things go well to the charges and to Cali for wanting to prossecute (sp) someone that has completely turned their life around. Best of luck man keep us posted. If worse comes to worse, plead for alternate sentancing

This is devastating news? What was devastating news were the calls the family members got from the authorities saying that their loved ones had been in a car accident by a drunk and drugged driver... apparently 2 of the passengers were children.

It appears I'm the only one with the balls to say you need to suck it up and take your punishment - there are consequences that come with your actions.
