debadging problem
i debadge the rear but you can still make out the lettering from a couple feet away, i have tried everything from goo gone to bug/tar remover, nothing is working, i can still feel the adhesive on the paint when i run my fingers over it any suggestions?

It is the goo gone that fucked you. You gotta get the adheasive cold, then rub it down with a clean terry cloth and elbo grease. Then use the Mothers swirl remover or scratch X to get rid of any shaddow, then wash and wax it. Turtle wax is fine.

you'll be better off using a mothers or meguiers wax

you can always get some 3M hand glaze and work at the shadow a little on your own. just be patient and keep at it. Make sure it's clean beforehand and then use some cleaner wax and a coat or two of regular wax. Try to park it in the sun afterward as well, this should help lighten the marks from the badges.

get a power buffer thing, and buff it out that way, thats what i had to do, you could see outlines if you got SUPER close but it went away for the goodness. and claybars i didnt think took that shit off, but it did work when i had to get damn road paint off my car!!

yeah the power buffer works good. the lines are gonna stay for a bit, but eventually after a few washes and waxes, you won't notice them anymore. make sure you dont accidently scratch the paint either while taking them off

Sorry, but the weather here in Houston sucks and my girl's naked rear, while lovely, has not seen a clean day since the hurricane hit down this way...spending all my time raking leaves...Rick

Clay bar it. You can pick them up at your local autoparts store. Get gray if your paint is a dark color and pink if you have a light color car. I work at a detail shop and people ask us to debadge their trunks all the time.
