Dont know if this have been brought up yet or not. I haven't been around lately and probably missed out on a lot I bet. But check this out, Bodykits.org located in CA said they can customize a body kit for any car for $675. Only thing is, we have to get at least 10 people in this group buy. What do ya think? We can photoshop some existing body kit on to a CL and get at least 10 people to agree to a style, it be a done deal.

 

interesting...but what will it be made out of. For that price maybe fiberglass. But polyurethane would be great.

 

yeah i pretty sure its gonna be fiberglass. I haven't talk to them yet. I was seeing if anybody would be interested, then we can call them and maybe have someone in close to their shop be a test car. I'm pretty sure we can get 10 people to agree to a design. Let me know what kinda style out guys wanna see on our car and i can try chopping a few onto our car.

aslong as it doesnt take away from the original lines of the car, its got to be something nice along the lines of a lip kit!!!

 

i can talk to ron jon about some desighns if guys want.. Then have some of those incorporated into the final and sent for production through that company. first, see if they can do urethane. who cares about an extra 100 or 200 If you aint got $ to buy a nice kit, then you just dont participate. the only way shit gets done is with $

I just got an email back from the guy...he said it doesnt have to be from any existing body kit...can be out very own design. The car that would let them use their car as a test would get the kit for free. Also if we can get 20 people in the group buy, he'll cut is a better deal.

I like our WW lip. maybe we can imcorperate that style and kinda fine tune it a lil bit. what ya think? we'll come up with a few design.

 

I like the idea, a ww lip type molded bumper or something similar would be sweet. Where is their shop and who would do the test fit? I'm guessing somewhere in cali?

 

it look like there website is down rightnow...but yeah somewhere in Cali. who ever have the time and willing to put their car out can be the test car. free kit for them.

 

maybe you guys can get RJ or someone to try to come up with a drawing for you that matches up w/ the lines of the car and doesn't look like ass. I'd like to see a classy, yet sporty kit on some 1st gen CLs, they definitely have the potential.

i dont know the front of the drawn up kit is kinda wack and big and in your face kinda, i would like something a little less lookin

 

I'm not a big fan of the RJ, only cuz of the double lip on the bottom looks weird. I like the ps of katana's car done by nato.

 

Yea the double lip is bootleg its way to busy for your car. Our car is simple and classy. what would be perfect would be a nice lip kit one that is lower then the ww onw maybe a vent in the front on each side with simple side skirts and a nice rear.

 

I dunno that I'd wanna go much lower than the ww but i like your idea, I was thinking copying the ww lip, maybe with more curves to it, and just doing molded bumpers with no lips or lines. But I guess we'd need to draw it
