but i got fucking caught in a hit and run and now i need new rear bumper, might be able to get away with refinishing and repainting. anyone know ballpark figures for either of these?

 

The stupid shop stripped some of my clear on the rear bumper and said they would have to repaint it and it would cost $250-300 Dont know how much a new bumper would cost, ask Dustbuster4 I know he was involved in a hit and run where his back bumper was hit

 

they made you pay for that shit? That's BS, if they stripped it they pay!

 

I didn't order a new bumper (I just pounded it out, then got it repainted for $300).

$300 was the estamate I got to repaint at the dealer in Dallas. I would think you could do better at a paint and body shop.

 

i need more then repainting, the bumper is punctured and gouged all over. i dont know it they can refinish it, or if just needs to be completely replaced which i know will be $$$

 

Yeah they claimed they didnt do it even though it wasnt there when i brought it in to them (i wash it weekly and would have def. noticed this huge spot of missing clear coat). I argued and argued but just got screwed and never had it fixed. They also did a horrible job painting the trunk and there are fish eyes all over the paint

 

If its just the bumper cover that should be around $200-300 new then another $200-300 to paint. If the bumper is damaged, that could be more depending on how much damage there is.
