Corner Light Bulbs

I know the sizes are either 194 or 168, but if I go to Pep Boys or Advance Auto Parts, would they have ones that would look alright with my Sylvania Cool Blues? Because the corners that are in now are the stock ones and have that amberish tint, should i get the generic looking 168 bulb or is there a better option?

Thanks

The size is 194/168. I got PIAA super whites in all mine, you just need white/blue hallogen bulbs instead of the stock incandescent orangish white bulbs. I told ya all this already foo

They match perfect, those are the same headlights i told u to get^^

You'll need 2 sets to do the fronts since you're gettin corners

Oh, the PIAA ones I have are like $20 a set so ya know

dude, they just twist 45 deg and pop out, then the bulb snaps in and out. The lower corners, you just pop your turn sig lense off 1 screw on each, and they come right out

194/168 is the same base, but the actual bulb in a 194 is much larger than a 168, all our corners (top and bottom) are 168. 194 will not go into the housing, the bulb is too large for the hole.

Yeah, thats what I was going to ask. Is a 194 bulb really too big to fit in the corners? I hope not.

Is there any way to change the driver side upper corner bulb without taking out the black air intake/resonator?

It is possible, it's just a little tricky. I have fairly large hands, but I was able to do it.

Removing the battery is huge. You guys got it easy, since I put my projectors in, I now have to remove the bumper and the headlight to replace the corner, cuz the back of the tsx proj makes it impossible to get the corner Can't wait to put my wide-LED corner lights in though

MMM i would love those projectors.

I've had enough retrofitting for a while

I modded my last car to fit BMW E30 M3 Ellipsoid projectors.. just barely fit..bumper had to come off too..

I think these 50W 6000K HIDs I installed will keep me happy for a while.

Ill put some pics up soon

Are the leds brighter or dimer then the standard bulbs? Paco got the leds but he said they were dimmer. I got those chrome "stealth" bulbs but their dim as hell.

Yeah I'm also looking for bulbs that will match my 6k kit well. I'm using amber bulbs right now, which looks nice and oem but IMO matching corners and headlights just looks so much sicker on our cars.

Anyone running a 6k kit with corners that match perfectly? My 6k kit is pretty much intense white/blue with a hint of purple

I have some imported piaa super plasm wedges, but they are wayyy too purple

Brighter..but the light doesn't spread/reflect the same way on the housing

so the over all look is not as "bright" but the actual beam of light is brighter..

if that makes ANY sense..

Color wise the white led wedges are are close.. but the HIDs are so damn bright that they make the corners look dim..

ill take some pics..out the door now

i used amber leds for the turn signals in the clear corners..that looks pretty cool i think

Here is the stealth bulbs. They aren't that dim but compared to the OEM, they are. I wish I still had that pic where one side was oem and the other, stealth amber.
Anyway, here it is.

the LED is drawing so little power vs the standard bulbs that the electrical system is thinking that 1 is out. . . so you get hyperblink to warn you that one is out. . .

load resistor, it plugs in with the power wire and basically adds dead weight to the electrical system to make it think all is normal

yeah

the good quality led bulbs have the resistors built in

wow 50 watt plug n' plays? How's the glare on those things? Noticable increase in foreground lighting?

I've been debating whether to get clear bumper lenses and put yellow bulbs in the corner of em for a psuedo is300 foglight look when the parking lights are on...

I have PIAA xtreme white HID and they match pretty well. Also got PIAA HID LED bulbs that I'm gonna try and compare just for giggles. The LED will be my 4th set of aftermarket corner bulbs... Here's my setup. Hard to get good side by side color pics with my crappy 5 MP

i might have to get different amber leds then.. i cant really see any on ebay that mention a built in resistor

yes definitely a noticeable increase vs the 35w projectors i had on my old car. i honestly have yet to see anything brighter on the road. the 6000k color is perfect though... won't get you in trouble from the cops..looks pretty oem.

i'll post some pics when im home from work

this seems to be the ticket.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-B...spagenameZWDVW

www.autolumination.com :

"7443 LED Combination Amber and White LED Tower Bulbs

Two Colors - One Bulb"

That seems pretty cool. I wonder if they would actually be on all the time on our cars
