A cool trick I found from someone on another forum...

I got this information from "Cryogen97" on HAN... its how to build your own "Hyper Blinker" ... you know, those high speed flashers.

Here is the link to his "How-To" page...

This is an adjustable version... using your stock flasher and a $3 part from Radio shack. My finished product is below.

He mentions to use a 100K variable resistor (potentiometer), I used a 1meg POT to allow me to speed up the flash, or slow it down... and it works great... I can go from a very fast "strobe" like flash... to one flash every 10 seconds or so (not that i'll ever need or want that).

Thought id share this, maybe some of you want something like this.

great

Now there's another fucking annoying blinking fucker on the road. It's distracting, annoying, and possibly dangerous to other drivers. If you want attention, walk around naked at the mall screaming your head off.

I actually am using it to slow the rate of flashes... I am fitting LED panels into my turn signals... and you all know what happens with the flasher when you blow a bulb... they go haywire and flash really fast... well LED's dont draw enough power for the flasher to flash correctly... so it flashes like there is a bulb out... with this I can compensate and slow the rate of flash to normal.

sorry, the pics werent working before... but they're back now... I just mounted the knob on the flasher itself... I just want to set it and leave it... I could have just changed the resistor with another value... but this is just as easy and I can get it to flash exactly how I want. The wires can be extended so the knob can be mounted anywhere.

I read somewhere that there is a certain flasher available at most auto parts stores, that is also a variable rate flasher... I just forgot what number flasher it was... but its suposed to work in most cars that use 2 or 3 terminal flashers. I chose to make my own because flashers are like $10 a piece... this was only $3 and a little bit of time.
