conversion??

conversion??

this one guy at work was bragging to me how he helped his friend (who doesn't live here, of course) put a 2.5TL engine into a 2.3CL! is this possible???? personally i think he was bullshitting, cuz he's known for that. i didn't even think he knew what a CL was! btw i put a deposit on a 99 2.3 CL black on black with 82 000 kms yesterday YAY so soon i will have a CL

its an i5. i dont see the point in it when a h22 goes right in. and tq is prob close ne ways but hp and dohc more then make up for it.

Good find, and as for the swap, maybe, I would have to look at the numbers. Some swaps are possible. There is a guy on here who is putting a 3.5RL motor in his 3.0CL. That is gonna be hot.

There are NO mounts that would allow for it. It's a different chassis. No wiring harness for it, so it would be a complete custom wiring job. And it's pointless. There's also NO aftermarket support for it.

as far as the conversion goes, I dunno. probably not.

Well, not a RL motor, just might be using it's rods and pistons. The block is actually from the Honda Odyssey, with the 3.2 CL Type S head.

When I read this, I was thinking of the C series motors, from the Legend. I could have sworn those cant fit in our cars because of something that has to do with the motor being mounted at 60 degrees as appose to 90 degrees or something like that. But yea, either way, tell him to get on the boards and show us the "swap".
