I have a 99 CL 2.3 that the check engine light is on. diagnostic code reads 65- O2 sensor heater circuit. After reading numerous posts I noticed that most members state that O2, EGR, and other emmissions parts are covered by an Acura warranty extension. I have three Acura dealerships in Houston and all have told me that there is no extension for my car and repairs will be 250-300$. Does the extension apply to certain models only or am I getting the run around. Also , in the posts the mileage limit for the extension varies from 75,000-150,000 depending on who is posting. Can anyone point me to a hardcopy or webpage that covers the details of the extended warranty.

 

if its the heater in the O2 sensor....then it should be covered.....im not to sure though...

 

If its not covered I'd get the sensor from acuraautomotiveparts.org and plug it in yourself, its under 200 for sure if you do it yourself.

 

got a bad heater circuit in secondary o2...
just got the damn thing back for a bad drivers side window reg/motor and just had cat replaced this summer (just in time for inspec) and sick of paying the man
...could anyone give a step or two about replacing this o2 myself? 169,000, so i don't think i'm warranteeworthy. Thanx guys, for the code pull trick, window reg/help (at least got my window up next day!).
