Thumbs up Comptech headers vs OBX headers

Well I learned something new today. When comparing the Comptech headers to the OBX headers I noticed that the Comptech headers had a bigger diameter for the exhaust flow. The OBX measured at 1.25 inches while the Comptech measured at close to 1.5 inches. This is where the headers meet the heads, not the downpipe btw. I didn't think twice to measure the other end.

Anyways, there was a hairline crack on one of my OBX headers, so instead of fixing it I just went ahead and threw on the Comptech headers.

I never knew there was a difference in piping size between the two. Just thought I'd share that with you guys.

Again, it's my favorite muffler. Another muffler I absolutely love is the J's Racing. They don't sell the muffler by itself, just the full exhaust. And they don't make one for the accord. But they hit 116 decibals while the N1 hits about 102-105 if I'm not mistaken. I love them loud! Glad you decided to keep the N1.

Me too!

I'm getting it welded soon, right now it's on with 2 clamps some extra piping, exhaust tape and a zip tie.

In other news, my heads are good! Woot! No damage what so ever to them.

I pick the car up tomorrow, do another leak down compression test, if everything shows good, then another dyno will be done over the weekend. And then, attempt the turbo kit install...

It's been awhile since I read anything over there. Last time I was there was when I sent you that link for the DIY turbo kit install on the j30.

The comptech stuff was new to me. I really never knew that. Had I known that, I would have gone after these headers a long time ago.

Just wanted to throw this out there, not even a half hour after my last post in this thread I got pulled over by a statie for "defective exhaust"

Just a warning this time

Congrats on the heads!
