Comptech: Buncha lazy funks?

I called Comptech today wanting a SC for my car. They said they didn't offer one. I said that they offer one for the Accord 3.0 and that is the same exact engine as my car has. They said that they never actually tried to fit one, but think it won't fit because the battery tray may be located slightly different and the bracket(s) may not bolt up exactly. I asked why they don't put forth the small amount of effort to try it out, and possibly making these minor adjustment(s) to their existing kit to increase their sales. I was simply told that they have no plans to do so. So I can only conclude that Comptech either 1: too short staffed to do this, and therefore too cheap to hire another employee, 2: happy with their current profit line and don't want to increase it, or 3: just a buncha of lazy funks.

You should try to contact someone higher up in the company, I'm sure they would be willing to put in the extra time.

I think they've tried it, but our tranny's are really weak, and they break under all that extra power. I think Ross (RMSOTOIC) actually got an Accord SC on his 3.0, but blew his tranny after like a week. hope this helps

Go look at http://www.comptechusa.com/about.html and tell me Comptech is hurting for money, understaffed, or lazy. Their credentials speak for themselves. I wouldn't make assumptions based on them not wanting to fit their AV6 [read: not 97-99 Acura CL s/c kit] s/c to a 1st gen CL.

Yea, the actually recently got bought out by Mclaren!

The kit will fit our car but the battery will need to be relocated to the trunk from what it looks like so far. My buddy just order his for his av6 and we are gonna do a fit ment on my car before he puts it on to see what kind of work it would need.
