Cold air intake insulation mod

I wraped my cold air intake today with some insulation stuff similar to the stuff in on this page

cold air wrap

The page shows a test the guy did of before and after.

Anyone know how a 10 or 15 degree drop in temp affects power
im curious to the formula for it

Ok i located a power calculator with some help from a member of this board

calculator

study 1

study2

In study 1 the average tempature change for the insulated intake was about 50 degrees cooler at the throttle body vs the same intake without the insulation. (K&N intake)
+78 change from outside air for the non-insulatd one
+ 28 change for the insulated one
These 50 degrees are good for 15 percent more power according to the power calculator

In study 2 the tempature change for the insulated intake was 15 degrees cooler. These readings are said to be entering the intake, not at the throttle body.
I believe the tempature would increase if it was taken at the throttle body, and the insulation would cut the tempature more.
15 degrees are good for 5 % more power according to the power calculator

Im sure the cold air intake picks up a good amount of heat for out cars (2.2) because it is so long compaired to the 3.0

Anyone have any ideas or commets?

Just trying to squeese all the power i can out of this car with what i got. Or i should say try to keep from loosing it

This is what I was talking about along time ago when people were comparing aem vs other cai's cause I believed that the aems stayed cooler. And air temperature is 50 times more important than a "bend" position or pipe design. I have also seen people use the heat shielding tape that people wrap their headers with on cai's as well.
