Cold air intake
Hey guys, I just got a weapon-r secret weapon intake and I tried to install it on my 97 acura cl 2.2. Yes, It is the right part, so don't give me any of that "noob" shit.
To install it I had to remove an fuel sensor that had something to do with elevation or some shit and that was the only way to make it fit. But obviously, without it my check engine light comes on and all this other bullshit.
Do any of you guys know how to install this intake on my car? I would really appreciate the help.
ps. The directions from weapon-r directly were'nt too much help.
Am i supposed to mount the sensor on a different bracket somewhere?
Please help!
Thanks, Nate.

well, there is tubing that should go to it but if it helps, I know its not the sensor on the throttle body, because that connects perfectly. It's like behind my battery, closer to my passenger side wheel well

Soft of. There is new tubing to the throttle body (the bigger tubing) and new tubing from the intake to a connecter, to older tubing to the sensor box (smaller tubing)
intake installs are a no brainer...search the dyi section for a thread
only thing to connect to the intake is the large rubber tube, that goes to the valve cover
the smalle tube you just rip out and plug it on the firewall
these intake threads are getting annoying

Well then, do yourself a favor and don't read them? Sounds difficult, I know.
I joined this site because I thought people would like to help out eachother but apparently people just enjoy bitching about other peoples problems?
Thanks for your help!

try disconnecting your battery and reconnecting it that should cause the light to go away
If not I have no clue take a picture to see what box your talking about. if its the small one that is like 4inches by 4 inches I just left it connected and have the tubes hanging.

Def try searching next time, most likely like they said u just need to reset your ecu, by unplugging the battery for a couple mins. Also, try this thread.

And you shouldn't have to unplug any sensors, just vaccuum lines
