it means either your catalytic converter is shot, and it's not catalyzing the noxious gases properly for exhaust, or something along those lines. If anything it's anything betweent he engine and the catalytic converter. Probably cost you around $100 for a new cat.

I have this code 67 also but have not taken it in to get diagnosed and fixed yet. Did you get yours fixed and what was the problem exactly? BTW, Barnes, I have the same year, engine, and 5 spd but 20,000 more miles!

It may be covered under warranty since its emissions equipment. If not a new cat + install would be in the $150 range. You could also just hollow it out and rewire your O2 sensor if you want to get rid of the CEL but not buy a new cat right now.

This just happened to me @ 124K miles. I got the Code 67: Catalyst Below Threshold when I had my engine light checked out. The shop removed that catalytic converter, checked both ports, and said it looked good. Both O2 sensors (S1 and S2) check out okay as well. So they reset the light and it came back on to days later with the same code. What the FUC?. What else can I do? A new catalytic installed costs about $1,500 from the dealership. I am done sinking money into this thing. The funny thing is the dealership claims they have never replaced a catalytic converter before the 200K mark.

I guess it is time for a 2005 TSX. :gheywave:

i had the same problem.....you have to replace it......all it is, is that you uneven airflow....in the cat it self.....your probably looks like mines...it looks like the screen for your window...when you look inside....but its kind of hard to explain...you'll see it when you look...its melted! hold it up and you see light its ok...maybe just your o2 .if you dont...replace. it.....

easily to replace....take three bots on back....(top bot is the hardest)...two in front with the springs....and take the rubber pieces out....and the the opposite when you install it. ! simple as that...if you get a used one make sure you get a new gasket....you'll know when you ask them...

acura= $ 435.08
Your Installation = free

It will be free look at your Warranty book it will say 8/80 which is 8 years 80,000 miles. It's against the law to change your cat before 80k miles with an aftermarket one, But maybe that's only for California because we got the stupiest smog laws US. But yeah it should be free I think they are going to charge you to check it like $100 bucks but everything else should be free and if you have an intake take it off because they will try to make any excuse not to give you a free one (if you suck up water in you intake it will mess up your cat the cl only had 60k and it needed a new one) because its like 1000 bucks for a new cat. Let me know how it goes if you go that route.
