So the flares won't look like your typical flares that come out insane, but it should come out to look like mild flares ribbeted on and give it that extra edge. I honestly think I'll only need an inch wider on each side in the front to give the tires perfect clearance.
an inch is a bit much...no?

Maybe, I know with the tires on, it'll stick out more. But I can only eye it so much without a tire on. R compounds run wider than normal tires as well. But yea, maybe 25mm might be too much, we'll see once I get to Cali.

Looking at the pics on the other page i think an inch would be just nice. the wheel is gonna push out a little more once the car is sitting on the ground plus the wide ass tires.

Damn shop took off with my flares. I had left them at a shop out here that was originally going to do my flares. And they "relocated", but I get the gut feeling they just shut down. Cause the freaking owner isn't answering any of our calls to let us know where the new directions to the shop is. He also has my friend's roof spoiler for his E500. This pretty much pisses me off that I won't have a chance to get them put on nex week in Cali cause this fucking owner won't fucking tell us what's really up.

I have a gut feeling I'm just going to cut the fenders and rear corner panels to make these rims fit and call it a day...

I've been at this for 3 weeks already. Got a hold of another guy, says he's going to try and get these for me today, but it's not a promise. Eh, we'll see...

edit: Just saw that you're running +25 offset. That answers a lot of my questions. So how's the calliper clearance with that? I'm looking to go with mid 20's offset with a 7 inch width and add spacers as necessary to bring it out to full flushness. Your car is gonna look beast...

I'm not looking to stretch the tires. I bought these rims in this width to run 235 or 245's all around for the track. I agree, with negative camber, rolled fenders, and stretched tires, it can be pulled off. But that would defeat the purpose as to why I went with wider rims. Thanks for the compliments.

Gotcha. Yeah that will definitely look beast when you get those flares on there. Can't wait to see it. Are these molded flares or blister kit bolt ons?

One last question: how's the caliper clearance with the emotions? I'd imagine it's pretty close...but just curious exactly how much room you still have left.

to the OP, I don't believe you mentioned it...but how's the caliper clearance with the emotions? I know that with the oem chromies, there's literally only like 3 cm of clearance, which kinda bothers me because they're +4_ offset

Pics are on page 1 or 2, I forget.

I don't own a camera, so pics are taken whenever I borrow a camera. (just don't care to go out and buy one)

I was out of town the past 1 1/2 weeks out in Cali (travel about every month or so)

I couldn't get my flares back from the shop in time to take with me to Cali (that was about a 2 week hassle)

I run a company out here in Dallas and I am kept pretty busy.

Sorry.

I won't be home till late tonight, roughly around 12:30-1am (still at work, and will be watching 10 o'clock movie with a friend). But I will toss those back on and let you know how much clearance it has. If I can't get to it tonight, then I will def have your answer later this week. (Have a few things to do after work tomorrow night as well).

Well, I got a hold of the shop today. Turns out the one of the owner's family relative died, so he had taken off for awhile to deal with that. Anyways, the car goes to the shop tomorrow for the flares. Any overkill, and I'll deal with it with extended studs, and spacers. If it's too extreme, I'll just rip them out, and go with the "cut the shit out of my fenders" look.

Glad to hear about your fenders, sorry I couldn't hook up with you Chris, the place I went for dinner was 2.5 hours from dallas, so I figured i'd just hit you up next time I'm down here and we'll plan it better
