I've seen NA Z's which have alright high end finally get up to 290whp with some modding left to do, so I think we can do the same.

 

What exactly do you have done to your v6? I'm always lookin for ideas

 

Well, tomorrow's my date to take the heads off. I've never messed with the timing of a car, so I'm a bit scared as I've never done it before. On a side note, I was really tempted to put this thing to the side and give up for awhile. I'll be honest with you guys, I've had it with fixing all the shit that goes wrong with this car. But, I do realize it's all from the driver and not the car.

Well, I don't feel this is worthy of mentioning in the Racing section, because it was more of a one gear run, lol. Well, I finally got my chance to run both a SS camaro, and a Trans Am. Both of which were extremely loud with exhaust and possibly other mods. They sounded sweet! Anyways, the TA went around me and pulled next to the SS, which kind of pissed me off, since we were about to go at it. So, I figured, what the hell, I'll just watch. So they pull up next to eachother (this is all on the freeway), and I'm in 3rd gear at about 75-80mph. I hear them downshift and sit next to eachother for a good few seconds. And then, they take off. I decided to go at it as well (had race gas and my nitrous tonight). Well, as soon I went at it, I pulled on them both! I was like, wtf? I was right on their ass by the end of that 3rd gear for me. Went into 4th, and then they stopped. At the same time, I had gone into the far right lane so that I wouldn't ride their ass like that. And that was it. They just ended it in 4th gear. Thought that sucked ass, cause I have always wanted to see how I'd do against a TA and SS. Oh well, at least their cars sounded nice.

And then I came across another modded WRX. Well, you know the story.

 

All bolt ons, stroked to a 3.5L, and ported intake manifold. From my understanding, he made that 250whp with a busted butterfly valve (imrc thing), and with AFR issues.

 

Tat's pretty funny that you're able to pull on them with a wounded motor. If anything, that should give you some inspiration.

The timing of the car sould not be an issue for you. There are enough reference marks to make sure everything is lined up properly. I'm sure you'll do fine.

I feel for you. You've put a lot of effort into yours. You just need a bulletproof build and you'll be good to go. So far, you've got a one of a kind build. I hope you don't get discouraged. I personally enjoy reading your kills.

My best friend with an Evo 8 just put down 512awhp this morning. He went from 380whp to freaking 512whp in about 2 weeks. He's as nuts as I am. He had it tuned on race gas and threw some new goodies on it. He just got done texting me, I'll get you the details later as to what he has.

Rrr, my bad guys. Mauricio put down 418whp with 347tq. Max was the one that put down 549whp by the end of the tuning. I miss understood the text.

Anyways, I'll start on it this weekend, I promise.

 

They're at the tarck right now! Dude, you have to let me know if you'd ever be interested in going. They're going again at the end of October. I'll be going to that one, but not in my car that I know of yet. Either I'll fly to watch and time them, or drive. We'll see. I'm going to the drag strip on the 20th of October for a rematch, lol.
