same with mine... but some wd40 lessened the squeak... i can bare it now. Just spray some wd40 wherever u might think the squeak is comin from... but remember to keep the windows open.. that stuff stinks!

Um, why are we spraying lubricants on the clutch?? The clutch surfaces are meant to stay dry... ever notice if you get grease or something similar on a brake disc, the brakes dont work as well? Same thing happens if there is a lubricant on the clutch surfaces... which will allow it to slip easier... making it wear out faster.

Please go into more detail as to when and what the problem is... is it when you're stationary and in neutral? then you let the clutch out and hear a noise? If so, then its probably the throwout bearing... or possibly the tranny is low on fluid.

DO NOT LUBRICATE THE CLUTCH SURFACES!!

So it squeaks when you push the pedal in? or is there a constant noise when the car is stationary, in neutral and clutch released?

If it squeaks when you push the pedal its either the point where the slave cylinder pushes on the release fork or the pivot point inside the clutch housing. Try some good lubrication where the slave cylinder pushes the release fork, NOT WD-40... wd-40 has a drying additive to it so it goes away over a short period of time. You need some sort of grease in there... chain and cable lube would work nicely.

If its a constant noise when the clutch is released, its probably the throwout bearing.

Mine squeeks when I release the clutch = clutch onto flywheel. I noticed it come on as the clutch got older. Doesnt happen all the time though. Mostly when I start driving the car after parked overnight or certain amount of time.

my second car (90 accord ex) had 190kmi on it when i bought it and it had the same engagement squeal-like sound.... at 300K the clutch finally needed to be changed... Its a sign that the clutch is worn, but not really badly.

the squeak is coming from where the clutch connects to the transmission in front of the radiator on the left side of the headers next to a bleeder valve if i hold it it stops squeakin. can the clutch be bleed like the brakes? maybe not enuff pressure in clutch
