Cluch/transmission problems PLZ HELP!!

Well Im having a small problem with the
cluch and/or transmission on my 98 2.3cl.
The problem is IT DOSENT WORK!!!!!
The only thing that i can think of that i
have done that is unusual is drive through
a semi-deep puddle. It feals like the cluch isn't disengaging so i cant put the car into gear. Any ideas would be greatly apprecated.

check your clutch master cylinder i bet the fluid is leaking, it is a hydraulic clutch without any fluid the clutch will not work.

u can get a clutch wet although it will slip like crazy till its totally dry. check the slave cylinder after the fluid check. thats usually where the fluid would leak from. can u get it in to gears when its not running?

is there pressure when you apply the clutch (same as when it worked)?

if not check the resuvuar for the clutch fluid. next to the brake fluid. if its empty put some in and pump the clutch if there is a leak it will come out. look at the slave cylinder thats where they usually leak. or could be a hole in the line. what ever it is you will see it.
