So i just put in my clear bumper lense and my blinker flashes white. Do you guys keep it like that, or did u get an amber bulb. If u got an amber bulb for it what size/brand/where/how much just a question i had. Cause it looks funny, like im flashing my lights or something. anything helps. thanks!

 

I got amber bulbs. Same size, just bring your clear one into a store and match up the amber ones. Its illegal to have clear signal lights.

how do i find out which ones will fit? i brought my original bulb to autozone. they didnt have it in amber, i got some amber ones tonight but, they are too small and make my blinkers go crazy blinking at mach 20. how do i find which one to get from car domain wat number? trying to figure it out. im a noob lol...thanks

mine are clear and i havent gotten pulled over

 

1. Are clear corners legal?
Yes, They don't have an amber reflector in them and the car doesn't have an amber reflector anywhere else on the bumper.

2. Are Hyper White type bulbs legal for front turn signals?
Yes, any color from amber to white and anything in between are OK.

3. Are Colored (blue, green, red etc.) bulbs legal in front parking and turn signals?
NO. Red makes it look like the front of the car is the rear (ie: nightime driving) blue is the police colors so they'll get you in a heartbeat, all others are illegal too.

Basically:

Hyperwhites are OK. You shouldn't have any problems because of the color. If they are BLUE lights or other COLORS then yeah, they are illegal and you'll stand out so much that cops won't even have to look hard to fill quotas.

Yellow is OK too, takes a little bit more for a cop to think through the process and determine something is wrong if they see yellow or amber bulbs. White attracts attention because there are no other cars on the road with them stock but they are not technically illegal.

What IS illegal is the lack of an amber reflector on the front sides of the car. When you have the stocks on they incorporated the reflector in there. You'll notice that cars that have clear front casings have small plastic reflectors on the side bumpers too.

This is the only issue that is illegal. When you have strange bulbs in them you attract attention and if a cop looks close enough he'll realize what the real violation is.

I have yellows in mine so at night when they shine yellow there's less chance of a cop noticing that they don't REFLECT.

I just put my clear corners in yesterday and it looks soo much better (pics soon). Now, about the bulbs, I am using the original clear ones that came with the car. Something that I find strange is that in Europe, your turning signal can be amber OR white and the parking usualy is white. It cant be any other color but those. Now considering the driving and car laws are more strict over there, I would think that white/OEM bulbs shouldnt matter here in the U.S. but I may be wrong.

My good friends dad is a Cop and i asked and showed him today. He said that they are legal as long as they are not any other color than amber or white. He also said that it depends on the mood that the cop is in at a certain time.


So this brings the question, how many times have you been pulled over because the cop had a stick up his ass?

i had the same problem. it pissed me off that i couldnt find the amber bulbs.so here is the fix. go to autozone and get the 7443a the brand is blazer extreme lites series. its in a yellow package. they will tell you that they dont know, but trust me THEY CARRY THESE LITES. THESE LITES HAVE 2 ELEMENTS IN THEM BUT THATS NOT A PROBLEM. so anyway, this is what i use on my clear corners. i havent had any problems. good luck.....

 

I'm selling both the clear corners and Amber LED's in the "black market" section if anybody wants the complete setup. I'm now a Maxima guy = liquidation of CL parts that I didn't trade in with the vehicle.

i got bulbs from cardomain awhile ago. well the day or 2 after i made this thread i got the amber ones in chrome from them. cause the autozone by me sucks the big one. i was like WTF why dont they have anything. they sold me red ones, which i thought was orange i didnt look lol...so i was like forget this and got em on line it was like 15 bucks for a pair they work great.

 

Any one ever hear of Black Housing Corner lights?? I saw them for an Integra and I was wondering if they make them for the CL,. they'd look bitchin' with my black housing headlights,... and i'm curious to know what the "little" modification is to fit Integra corner lights on my car....
