Clay bars are exactly what they are, clay. They smooth the paint and get rid of residu and impurites so your paint ends up like glass. Mother's and Maguire's makes them. They rock. Just dont use it if you drop it on the floor.

yeah its a ball of clay. its take alot of stuff of your paint. i ran over road paint when they repainted a road and it took it right out. i got the 3m kind and i used 3m fnial inspection on it then rub the clay bar on the paint and off it went

Me either, thank god. Egging would suck, seen it happen, and it wasnt' removed for days.
Now pizza sauce on the hood, that's a whole nother story, if you relaly hate someone, and could stoop to the level of harming a vehicle, that's the way to go.
I never would do it myself, but boy did it fuck up the car I saw it done to

The way I've read about it on one site is it's pretty much like shaving your face.
You put the shaving cream on the car (Quick Detailer Spray or Soapy Water) and rub the clay over the lubed car. The clay takes out all the dirt inside the paint. I just did it to my car about 2 months ago, car felt like a baby's behind.
