Ok so Ive got a 98 Cl, 2.3 5speed. I like the car and wanna make it last and enjoy it for a little longer but there are a few things I need to fix.

-I think all my motor mounts need to be replaced cause it shakes terribly
-My Windsheild has ton of little spots where stuff has hit it and it drives me crazy, but I thought windsheilds were super expensive
-I thought about getting a muffler and a exhaust built cause something on the exhaust rattles but idk what muffler to get because I dont want a loud ricer muffler.

What else can I do to make it run smoother, longer, and more efficently.... and what is there that I can do myself so that I dont have to pay outragous labor costs...

 

Get a new windshield...not more then $200.00

Get the motor mounts and maybe get a pro to install them if you cant do it

And go on you tube and listen to some sound clips...Accord F23's usually have more sound clips...from your sig it looks like you have some good mods so far.post pics!

 

Windshield shouldn't be more than $200 or so, motor mounts would be a pro for sure. For mufflers, a lot of guys on here use magnaflow mufflers and like the tones better than most fart cans out there

 

Rattle sound... i have that.

Is it coming from what sounds like the passanger side? After about 3000rpm it doesnt rattle anymore right? Have the same issue... for me its my Catalytic Converter or so i've been told. Something about the honeycombs becoming shattered and banging around. Replace it, or take it off bang the hell out of the inside put it back up(wont pass emissions). I ordered my new cat for cheap... prolly a fake 15$ one off ebay, but if i put it up and it fixes the rattling i'll let you know

Ok mate so the CAT i bought for 94-97 accord for 15$ failed didn't even fit right lol, so i took the old CAT and cleaned the inside of it out... used a handheld torque wrench and beat the hell out of the inside. Put it back on.. hangers i couldnt finagle to fit again but aside from that... it worked like a charm. 2 hours later and no more rattle Sounds better.. havent had any codes so far... You're going to need a 14, a 12, a hammer, a lot of WD40, and regular stuff used :p None of my old nuts and bolts broke, but i've been spraying WD40 on them every few days before doing this. Hope it helps ^^ If you can.. make sure you have replacement nuts and bolts before trying this.
