Circuitry for the First GEN

Does anyone know what the circuitry for the first gen is? Positive or ground?

Are you asking if the chassis in the ground on a cl rather than the possitive? Or looking for schematics.

looking to make a HID wire harness, and was wondering if it was a grounded circuitry or a positive circuitry?

OMG, if you have to ask, put down the wire cutters and step away from the car.

All cars are 120V AC, there is a ground, hot and a neutral.

Well.. positive ground systems were actually used at one time. Some auto makers thought electricity flowed better that way, but thats a old car thing allong with 6 volt systems.

THat's better.

Yes, our car's are a +12v switched headlight. THere is no power, only ground, to the headlamp until you turn on the headlights. They need to prepare your harness expecting +12v switched.

So the headlamp rests with +12v and no ground? The headlamp switch supplies ground?

if you ever test the high beam circuit you will realize there is +12 on both wires until you turn the switch then one switches to a ground. thats what i meant. i never tested them when everything is off. once you switch the headlamp on i know that the low gets a + and - and the high gets two +

Hmm. My 8000k HID kit was plug and play, so I never had to test it out.
