Yeah I bought them and never finished the install, I was short a couple of slats, thats why im thinking just get it dipped, unless there is a good spray that'll do the trick and ill just do a DIY

I believe home depot is ur answer to get some more of the chrome strips... im not sure what it is called but im sure they have more at home depot something about the edges of a sliding door or something but im not sure u can dip plastic either... so the ebay/home depot stuff is the best ur going to get unless u find some other way to custom it.

anyone know if any of these sprays that they sell in auto stores are good that say they give the plated look, i mean of course ill primer the grill first just wondering if its worth the trouble, because the chrome slats look kinda shitty i mean plus they still require custom cuts and sanding

Yeah i already ordered that but i think it may be a waste, thats why im thinking about spraying the grill so the slats all uniform and a cleaner look, just wondering about sprays for that reason. Hey Layedout is that the same stuff theyre selling on eBay

Here is an idea......

I went to a store that sells sewing and model building supply. They sold this long roll of mesh grille. It is used when people build clay models. Try that too. I have it on my ride and it gives it a nice look. The mesh is silver and shiny. WHen I eventually get pics of my ride out you can check it out.

I remember like 4 years ago there was this place called "Hialeah plating" that used to chrome dip. they were close to westland mall and my friend chrome plated his valve cover and header cover for close to $125

That stuff is just metal foil tape. It'll look like shit in no-time.
