Checking stock motors
what should someone look for in a motor?? is there a way to tell if the motor is shit????

In the car or out? If it's in check for noises, smoke, crap under the oil cap, compression, etc.

^^^ All of that, and get up under the block with a flash light, and check for leaks I molest used cars when I look at them.

take the valve cover off and see if its nice and clean under there. check the oilpan for shavings too.

well the title of the thread is about motors and not cars in general. just take it for a spin and look for hesitation, knock, weird idle, ect.

if its a 3.0cl make sure it shifts good from first to second. generally with a honda u will not have any problems with the motor, its all the trans.
