3.0 CL Check engine light

Early in the morning when it's cold (40F), on startup the engine misses terribly and the check engine light starts to blink, and then stays on steady. I reset the fault and after the third time, I called Acura for an appointment. Today, I took it in and they checked the code which indicated a misfire on cyl #5. They inspected the spark plug, and wire. All checked out okay and they test drove, signed it off as good to go.
I know it's not fixed, and haven't even picked it up yet, but maybe I will wait until tomorrow morning and have it fail on their parking lot.
Anybody ever have a similar experience?

Code reappears with rough running at startup in cold Sunday 23 03 (next cold start).

Tue Nov 25 Acura finds code for #5 cyl misfire. They replace plug due to very very badly eroded plug. When I mentioned that it was good on Friday, he stuttered a bit and didn't know what to say.
I guess w
e will just have to see what happens next.

 

Hopefully the plug replacement solves the problem.

Isn't it interesting when someone can't explain their incompetence.

On first cold start rough startup and flashing Check Engine light. Fault is latched and light is on.
Going in for third time Dec 03 03
This time they claim that they will give me a loaner car and do a morning start with a tech there to witness.

 

Final fix. Acura changed #5 injector just as I told them on day one. Works good last a long time
