I was wondering if there was a technical service bulletin for EGR valve exhaust flow insufficent, code. My check engine light came on and i hooked up my scanner giving me that error. I remember someone saying that Acura might fix it under the emissions warranty. My car has 83,000 miles. Does anyone know if Acura will fix it under it's warranty or do I have to pay out of my pocket.

 

If it is a '98 you can try to call Acura's customer care 800 number and ask if they will cover it. Also, the dealer can do this if they will. Dealers in my area wouldn't help so I got Acura to pay for it through the 800 number. BTW, I had 81k miles (warranty was to 80k). Good Luck!

got mine fixed too they said it was coverd under the 135,000 mile warranty but don't quote me on the exact number. They changed catalytic converter at 73,000

 

Mine's a 97, so I'm hoping they will cover it under the 135,000 mile warranty. But I'm pretty sure that dealers around this area won't help so do you think I should just call the 800 acura number and see what they can do?

I the emmisions warranty for the egr valve for 97's are 14 years, 150,000 miles.
