Cheap Please?!

Ok I have decided to spend my tax return on coil overs... cuz up here in indiana the snow is a bitch and I dont want my car running nose first into that. So here is what I know. The 1997 Accord V6 coilovers will fit but my best bet is to find it just for my car (3.0 97). Here are my questions:
Are aerospeed coils good? they run $150.
Skunk 2?
Ground Control?
What is the best deal for under $290? I apprechiate it thanks!

I dont think then brand of coilovers are goin to be any different ride, I have APC and they ride the same as other coilovers, but a couple of things you might want to know,
with coilovers you will need a camber kit, or else it will eat your tires like nothing else,
youll also need to get shock, well, you dont need them but they are highly recomended,
so what you might need to do is wait till you can get coilovers and shocks as one unit (I wish I did that) and get a camber kit, I went back time and time again to get it all put on and I wish I waited to get it all put on at 1 time, but thats was I suggest

but coilovers are a rough ride, keep that in mind, I wish I had gotten the lowest springs possable and did it that way, but its too late, Ive put to much money into it that I think Im just goin to tride around on it like this for a while

just thought Id throw a lil' input

I have arospeed coilovers on my car and they aren't too bad at all. I bougt them close to a year ago straight from the distributor in Miami (hook up) for $100.00. For the money I don't regret getting them at all. Ride quality is not that bad. I basically lowered to my desired height, and then I got a F&R camber kit and aligned the car. After I found the height that I like I never touched the coilovers again. If you go lower more than 2 inches, if even for only a month without a camber kit, kiss your front tires good bye. I waited 2 month before I put a camber kit on but by the time I did my 3 month old kumho tires up front wire totally wasted on the inside with the wire was showing. Good luck.

... ii dunno buyin cheap coilovers is risky if they are the type that slip over the shock and dont already come attached to its own shock ... they have a high chance of the coil actually slipping off the shock .... cause some serious shit ... if ur gunna go with coilovers spend the loot and get some good ones

i posted a similar inquiry before. after reading a lot of posts, i decided to get a tru-coilover (springs & shocks). i bought mine for $500 (4 months old from an Accord). the ride was better than stock and the handling after the drop has improved a lot.

the quote that stuck to me from the posts is "if you wanna do it, do it right". i'd say go with a known combo (ex: sportlines & kyb agx or tru-coilover like apexi, tein, etc).

when you lower your car the wheels tend to be like this /-----\. since our camber is non-adjustable, we need an after-market camber kit to put it back to |-----| (factory specs is still slightly negative in the back).

its not just worth it, its a need, and it dont come with the coilover or shocks, you have to buy it seperate, and they can cost as much as the coilovers
