Changing light bulbs

Changing light bulbs
Hi guys!
I have a '97 CL 3.0 (first gen, right?). After just fighting for about 2 hours to get my hands in all the right spots to replace all headlight bulbs (the 9005 and 9006's), I still have to replace the two small lights next to the headlights. The one on the passenger side I could probably do, but the one on the driver side I can not get to.
There is a plastic pipe next to the battery right in the corner where the small bulb plugs in. It doesn't seem like there's an easy way to remove that pipe or get to the bulb any other way.
Suggestions?
Also, I've replaced the 9005's and 9006's with Sylvania Silverstars. Are there any bulbs for the sides which match their color temp?
Thanks,
Andre

in order to get to the side corner bulbs, you have to take the bumper off and the bumper reinforcement to take the headlights completely out so that you can fit your hands in there and switch the corner parking lights. gotta have the right tools man. thats what i had to do to get my blue leds in. btw i finally got pulled over for having them in. got a warning and now i have to spend an hour taking them off. so dont get any colored lights for the parking lights. get hyper white. and you do have a first gen. post some pics

Thanks for the quick reply!
That's a lot of work to change some light bulbs!
Sorry about your warning. Where do you live? Seems like cops around here (SoCal) don't care too much.
My CL is pretty much stock, so pictures wouldn't be very exciting.
Having found this site, I'm going to tint it pretty damn soon though .
Cheers,
Andre

i have larger than average hands and im able to get to the parking lights without a problem, as far as that tube, its just the top part of the intake resonator, and its not gonna harm anything if you leave it out, just pull up and it should pop out

i have big ass football monkey wide reciever hands so i figured the best way to do it is to take the reinforcement off a bit and save yourself the nicks and cuts. yea man i cant believe my luck. i got caght doing 90 in a 50 at 8pm then at 10 i got pulled over 10 seconds away from my house for my lights. "son do you realize that im the only one thats supposed to have blue lights on my car??"

wa a a a ay too much work -- get someone with smaller paws to do the parking lights in >2 minutes,
--even the low corners is two screws' work >15 mins.
if you want to pull the pipe, give it a twist

holy crap.. you better not have to take the whole fron facia off. The 194 bulb on the driver side corner is out on me and I was gonna change it after work today. I looks like that shroud over the radiator has to come off, but I havn't had a good look yet. If I cant reach it with the shroud off it's never gonna get done, because there is no way i'm dropping the facia - that's friggen rediculous.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE ANYTHING OFF TO TAKE ANY LIGHTS OUT!
Yes you have to take off the bumper to get the whole headlight assembly off because there are a total of 5 bolts holding your headlights on. 3 of which are behind your bumper. g-luck trying to take your headlights out without removing your bumper. It would honestly be easier to take your whole bumper off to do that.

not if all your shit was rusted. i replaced all that and got new bumper clips. the headlights didnt come out easily either but i finally got em. i had to take the bumper reinforcemnt off cuz it was hit on the right side and someone decided to fix it by plastering it with some shit rather then replace the whole thing. so i had to take the whole thing off. im lookin for a new one

What the HECK is all this "remove your bumper" crap going on in here?!
He is just trying to replace the corner 195/168 bulb! YOU DONT HAVE TO UNSCREW A DAMN THING. If the intake resonator pipe is in your way, you can just pull it straight up. That is the way it was designed to be removed. There is a rubber/metal band that puts pressure keeping it place. When you pull it out you will see how it works. Just yank it straight up and out.
Damn all you noobs have been revealed.
